For the Kids

Children of all ages enjoy the Okinawan Festival each year. And why not? There are special activities for children, including cultural activities and inflatables.

Children can participate in mini "How to be Okinawan" classes at the Capital Campaign Tent, including how to whistle, kachashii and learn the legend of the shisa. Fun photo ops will also be available.

For a fee, children can dress in traditional Okinawan attire (bingata kimono with hanagasa headdress and/or as a paranku drummer) in the Cultural Tent and have a keepsake picture taken by a professional photographer.
